Clayton Valley Pumpkin Farm's 2008 October Field Trips

Dates: October 1st - 31st, 2008
Reservations required, please call Sharon Osteen at (925) 672-5198 to reserve your tour.

The educational tour is approximately 45 minutes in length.  The first portion of our tour is seated
on bales of straw where the tour guide educates students on pumpkin varieties, corn, gourds and
the pumpkin lifecycle.  The second portion of the tour is walking through the garden where
students see plants in various growth stages including pumpkins, bottle gourds, sunflowers, corn,
luffa sponges and more.  The "Corn Room" is a place where students learn about the uses of
corn and see the evolution of how corn is processed and even get to use an old-fashioned corn
grinder!  And of course, everyone will get to see our
animals!
